Audi Jaguar Land Rover Fort Myers to host “A Home for the Holidays” Gulf Coast Humane Society

Nov. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Fort Myers, FL- John Marazzi’s, Audi Jaguar Land Rover Fort Myers, will host the Gulf Coast Humane Society’s inaugural holiday fundraiser on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the dealership located at 15875 S. Tamiami Trail in Fort Myers. The theme of the event is “A Home for the Holidays” to increase awareness that shelter pets, like humans, yearn to be in a safe, warm home with a loving family of their own at holiday time.

The event will kick off a 10-week raffle to give away a brand new 2011 Audi A4. The evening’s fun will include live and silent auctions, live entertainment, and cocktails, with tasting stations and hors d’oeuvres catered by Rene’s. Complimentary valet parking.

Gulf Coast Humane Society background information

The Gulf Coast Humane Society was founded 63 years ago (1947) and was the first humane society established in Southwest Florida. Since its founding, Gulf Coast Humane Society has rescued and placed nearly 100,000 neglected and abandoned pets into local homes, averaging more than 1,200 per year.

It is a no-kill animal welfare organization that does not euthanize animals for lack of space or length of time that they are in the shelter. All pets from the Gulf Coast Humane Society are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, on flea/heartworm preventative medication, and eligible for 30 days of free health insurance. Every adopted pet gets a free follow-up office visit at their full-service Veterinary Clinic and dogs get free obedience lessons taught by their certified dog trainer.

The main Gulf Coast Humane Society adoption center is located at 2010 Arcadia Street in Fort Myers, just off Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd between Palmetto and Ortiz Avenues. Four other satellite adoption centers are located in Pet Supermarkets located in Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, and Naples.
