Nov. 20, 2010
-- A lifelong resident of Barrington who is a member of The Grapes & Grains team approached the town council in the Summer of 2009 requesting an amendment to the zoning ordinance permitting a Class A license. The Town Council voted in the Fall of 2009 and passed a resolution, whereas it was necessary for the R.I. legislature to vote on the issue. In the Spring of 2010, The General Assembly passed the Class A bill unanimously.
Thank you Barrington voters for approving this special act passed by the R.I. Legislature on November 2nd 2010. The approval of the Class A license in Barrington is history in the making! The passing of the local question reflects how the town has evolved. It is exciting that the voters in Barrington voted for change and are open to support change!
Grapes & Grains believes that Barrington is an "All American" town with expansion of greatness on the way! Here you find a true community waiting to be discovered.
