Vassi Vasevski and Alexander Telalim are friends and have much in common. They are both Bulgarian born and have achieved Masters degrees from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. This will be their fourth show together (New York 2007, Sofia 2009 and Chicago 2010) It has been said of Vassi's work: "...Delicate and discreet, his paintings stand unencumbered by multilevel symbolic messages The metaphoric expression gives away to flowing transitions of color, to a longing for tranquility and spiritual harmony....These paintings represent an intensified state, a concentration of emotion that seeks peaceful tranquility hidden behind the closed eyes of a woman." --Dr. Daniela Chulova-Markova, Art Critic And of Alexander's: "His inherent creative freedom and his ability to reveal the internal essence of the object bring life to everything his brush touches on. Telalim's pictures are engendered in a peculiar meditative state - both the key to the "magic garden" and the flower that we carry away." --Newspaper "L'Elsace", France The Ukrainian National Museum is located in the heart of the Ukrainian Village, at 2249 West Superior Street in Chicago.
