Nov. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Roanoke, Va.-- Boone Homes is adding a new look to many of its Roanoke new homes which really makes the neighborhoods stand out! Arts & Crafts elevations now complement the typical Colonials in communities such as Hampshire, where homes are priced from the high $300,000s, and The Groves and Roselawn Homes at Stone Manor, where homes are priced from the high $200,000s.

Boone Homes’ Arts & Crafts homes introduce typical Craftsman-style elements on the exterior, including shingle siding, board and batten siding, square columns and stone accents. In keeping with the style, which was introduced in the 1800s to demonstrate the beauty of simplicity, colors are typically in earth tones, though Boone Homes often includes a splash of color in the eaves. Distinctive windows with mullions, or grates, only in the top half of the frame let in plenty of natural light while contributing to the overall design of the homes.

Boone Homes carries the Arts & Crafts theme into the homes, too, with oil rubbed bronze door hardware, bath fixtures and light fixtures. Shaker-style cabinetry in the kitchen and beadboard wainscoting in the dining room lend additional old-time charm and warmth.

Boone Homes has several Arts & Crafts home floorplans available in convenient Roanoke locations and at a variety of price points. While introducing the new home styles, Boone Homes is standing by its commitment to developing neighborhoods where architectural elements and colors work together to create a cohesive atmosphere. In Boone Homes communities, individual homes blend in while still maintaining their distinction.

Hampshire is an intimate single-family home community with just 44 home sites on a cul de sac street in Southwest Roanoke County. Homes have three or four bedrooms in up to 2,800 square feet of living space. Most homes have basements, and all have two-car garages. The family friendly community is served by Back Creek Elementary and Cave Spring Middle and High schools, some of the area’s best schools. Homes are priced from the lower $300,000s.

The two-story homes in The Groves have four bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. Homes have up to 2,400 square feet of finished living space, plus attached two-car garages and basements. The kid-friendly community is home to many families with children. It is served by
Forest Elementary and Cave Spring Middle and High schools, some of the top schools in Roanoke County. Homes are priced from the upper $200,000s.

The 54 homes of Stone Manor boast a variety of ranch and two-story designs. Homes have three or four bedrooms in up to 2,800 square feet of finished space. All homes have two-car garages, and many have basements. With prices starting in the upper $200,000s, Stone Manor places home buyers within minutes of Tanglewood Mall and in the middle of the highly demanded Hidden Valley school district.
