Mechdyne Supports Two Industry Partners at infoComm Asia

Marshalltown, Iowa – November 17th, 2010 – Mechdyne Corporation is partnering with Digital Projection International and dnp at infoComm Asia, November 17-19th in Hong Kong.

InfoComm Asia 2010 is Asia's largest technology event for information communication and systems integration.  The trade show, which this year will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, is an educational opportunity for both audio visual (AV) practitioners like dealers, distributors, systems designers and integrators, as well as  professional end-users such as corporate, education, retail, entertainment, hospitality organizations that utilize AV technologies.  More than 9,000 attendees are expected to attend the two day event.

Mechdyne will provide support, image generation capabilities and applications to support a high resolution 3D dome at Digital Projection International’s (DPI) booth, as well providing the 3D applications for screens being demonstrated by dnp of Denmark.

The four meter wide, concave dome being demonstrated at DPI’s booth utilizes four of their TITAN 3D projectors at 1920 X 1200 resolution and installed in portrait mode.  The professional series 3D projectors utilize DPI’s near zero latency warp, blend and network control processors, FUSION, to perform the geometry required to turn the overlap from each projector into one seamless image.  In addition, Mechdyne is providing the compute technology of their vGeo™ software to drive the projectors at their native resolution.  Motion tracking technology is also integrated into the arcing display.  The combined technologies produce a stunningly realistic, immersive, interactive experience.

At the show, Mechdyne and DPI will show atmospheric data from the southeast Asia area, but the one-of-a-kind dome solution could also be used for flight simulations, manufacturing design, architectural walk-throughs, and a wide variety of data displays.
