Nov. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Christmas has come early for nearly 25,000 employees at Google this week as they turned on their computers to an email most people suffering in the world recession would love to receive.  Let’s call it a post Christmas bonus (http://www.love2reward.co.uk/rewards/solution-finder/christmas-loyalty-bonuses.jsp) all staff across the company have been told on January the 1st 2011 they will receive a 10% rise in their salary as well as $1000 bonus un-taxed as a reward to show Google care and value their work.

Google said they wanted their staff to feel rewarded for their hard work and they want to continue to attract the best employees to their company as they grow and continue to recruit new staff. After conducting an in-house survey the company established that the most important thing to their employees was their salary, so as a staff incentive (http://www.love2reward.co.uk/rewards/solution-finder/staff-incentives-solutions.jsp) they increased everyone’s by 10%.

Google is acknowledged as one of the best companies in the world to work for with a vast selection of staff incentives from cash bonuses to massage vouchers, it is a company that rewards staff for hard work and reinforces employee loyalty (http://www.love2reward.co.uk/rewards/solution-finder/empl...) because of it.

However, there is speculation that Goggles sudden act of Christmas spirit is not due to research in employees needs or because they want to reward staff for hard work but really to prevent them from jumping ship to major competitors. Goggle has lost many employees to competitors such as Facebook with their star engineer and co-founder of Google maps Lars Rasmussen accepting a job with their social networking competitor. It is said that nearly ¼ of all Facebook employees once worked for Google which would explain the growth of this social networking phenomenon.

Despite Google’s suspected hidden motives it still remains a popular and internationally respected company to work for providing it’s staff freedom to experiment, rewards for hard work, as well as offering employees many company incentives and as a result keeping employees loyal.
