Talent Management: Lanvin For H&M Ad Celebrates Diverse Models

Nov. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Not only do we love Lanvin’s exclusive collection for H&M, which arrives in store on November 23, but also the diverse range of models in the video.

Caryn Franklin, British fashion expert and presenter, agrees with us: “I’m liking the diversity in this video for Lanvin at H&M. Curvy and older models get a look in and the film looks better for it!

“I’m saying good move to H&M,” Franklin said on her blog.

And when fashion big shots like Alber Elbaz, Artistic Director of Lanvin, make a statement like this, which shows a broader range of beauty, we too have to give the brands credit where it’s due.

And as for the fashion…we can’t wait to get our hands on affordable clothing that embodies the absolute essence of Lanvin.

With separate womenswear and menswear collections, Elbaz has most definitely made every single piece identifiable with the work of a high fashion house.

For women there are beautifully cut, colourful dresses, as well as pieces and accessories full of ‘Parisian glamour’, while the men can expect updated classics, with bang on trend daywear tuxedos and sporty jogging pants.

Elbaz explains more about the collections: “What does luxury mean today? Can luxury be exclusive and democratic at the same time? How can we translate the essence of luxury to a wider audience? The world around us is changing rapidly and I find myself asking these questions more and more.

“Designer’s work is usually tailored to a very small group of people, but the collection for H&M was about trying to translate the dream of luxury to the masses. It was almost like going back to school for me.”

Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M, adds: “Alber Elbaz is so extremely skilled; it’s so rare to work with someone who is so attentive and involved in everything. He is creating and styling all the time, it’s like this never-ending imagination.

"Elbaz is quite unconventional in the way he tries to find new solutions and he fights for his own vision. I admire him, he’s a real artist.”
