King Long Launch 6127J City Bus

Nov. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- The 6127J is King Long’s first City Bus and is the culmination of a large research and development investment with the direct involvement of a UK fleet operator, in order to develop a vehicle with the specification, performance and build quality required for the UK market.

There has never been another city bus of this specification at this price point available in the UK and we are therefore expecting demand to be very high. This has also showcased King Long’s flexibility to work with customers to produce a finished product to everyone’s satisfaction which has been delivered in the shortest possible timescales. Guaranteed reliability under heavy driving conditions is critical in the bus market. We are so confident in the 6127J that the bus includes a 5 year warranty as standard.”

King Long was established in 1988, with headquarters in China and has been able to manufacture more than 200 kinds of products ranging from 4.5m to 18m vehicles, which include touring buses, coaches, passenger cars and special vehicles with an annual production capacity of 30000 units.

King Long has enjoyed stable performance growth over the last 20 years. 24000 units of large and medium size coaches were sold in 2008. King Long is growing by approximately 20% per year.

The UK headquarters in Coventry is ideally located to provide national service and parts support to its dealer network and customers. During the spring of 2006 the company acquired additional premises specifically to create a dedicated centralised parts warehouse. The total investment amounted to £1.5 million.
In addition to a fleet of mobile engineers King Long UK is able to call on national service support from its key component suppliers including Cummins, Eaton, ZF, Allison, Meritor, Bosch and Wabco.
