Kn Cosmetics-A young womans reality and a dream to help others

KN Cosmetics was founded by Katherine Lougheed.  A model, entrepeneur and artist.  Jersey born and raised, Katherine's story behind KN Cosmetics and why it was created has been an inspiration to many women who was lucky enough to meet this special and creative woman.  Coming from a middle class family, Katherine Lougheed has been through many of life's roller coasters with highs and lows.  She is known as the "Loca"; in her family for her spontaneous lifestyle and extraordinary fearless attitude.  However, not everything from her life has been rosy.

"My mother often thought she gave birth to Satan, since I was one major headache in her life.  I always wanted to do what I wanted and all was the inner traumas of growing up."  From a failed young marriage, having a child very young, and going through a domestic violence for 7 years, did not stop this woman from changing her life.  "At the time that I was going through violence and getting beat up everyday, I felt he was the only one that loved me.  In my mind, I wanted someone to hold me and tell me they cared.  That was never the case growing up. I thought I was useless and although my family tried to help; I was already mentally damaged."

Miss Katherine decided it was time to leave him and after a near death experience, she decided to change her life, become a mother again and help other women who is going through the same mental and physical torment through beauty, rock and roll and making women feel special.  She met German Nunez, an Argentinian man who gave her the love she needed and was waiting for.  "When it rains it pours, but after many hurricanes, the sun needs to come out someday."  

KN Cosmetics was born.  KN wanted to liberate the inner beauty of women through color.  KN Cosmetics founder and creator has been known to always be on the dark side of things, the inner beauty of within is what this company wants to promote.  Currently, KN has launched their website in November 2010.  The website was created by Miss Katherine herself.  "I spent 2 months designing this website, sleepless nights too because I had no idea how to create one.  I had no money to afford a website custom made with my vision, links, music and a creative check out cart that screams rock and liberation."  

KN's vision is to get involved with organizations to help abused women and help them regain their self esteem and confidence through her makeup.  She currently is donating $ 1.00 from every purchase to The Beauty Movement.  An organization that helps women who can not afford these small luxuries because some are single mothers and just simply not financially stable to afford such items.  Also, KN will donate her brand new makeup from her collections to this organization for one lucky girl for the holidays.  Although, they just launched, Katherine has captured many hearts through her story and by trying to help those in need.  KN Cosmetics is currently seeking to contact organizations and shelters to be able to join and find a way to help these women to regain their confidence through her experience and her cosmetics.  

KN Cosmetics is currently promoting their own custom color collection, THE FAIRY TALE COLLECTION.  Glimmery eyeshadows and that are parafen free. Think magical forest and new age inspired. A cute fairy on the cover of www.kncosmeticscollections.com currenty represents the line for the moment

So yes, she is her own face of her own line, for now. Beautiful inside and out;  we are pretty sure we will hear much of KN Cosmetics, her fearless Jersey attitude and the wonderful colors that scream rock and roll.  KN Cosmetics is not only providing great makeup at a very affordable price but also has projects to help many women through her line.  She is currently working on her custom made lipsticks and kabuki brushes which is launching in Spring or Summer of 2011.

"I want women or anyone to feel that anything is possible.  You can be anything you want to be or what you set your mind too. I want to show the world that being judged, cursed at, or even talked about should not be an issue to your plans or future.  I am here to help through beauty and makeup; to let every women know-they are fearless, strong and gorgeous."

We are pretty sure we will hear more of KN Cosmetics in the years to come.  Her creative mentality and her heart will conquer one world at a time because at the end of day when you take off your makeup, it really is not about how you look but how you feel.
