By: BIG ARTS Neil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys features the acting talents of veteran comedic actors Robert Feigenblatt and Michael Oberfield, who portray two once-famous vaudeville comedians who have hated each other for half a century. The two drive Willie Clark’s nephew, Ben Silverman (played by local favorite Victor Legarreta) crazy, as he tries to reunite them for a TV special. Others featured in the cast are Miguel Cintron, Simone Curbelo, James Lane, and Caitlin Newman. When the play opened on Broadway, a reviewer from The New York Post said, “It's ham on wry ... Simon's sure footed craftsmanship and his one liners are as exquisitely apt as ever.” The Sunshine Boys is supported by Herb Strauss Theater Season Sponsor The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company and Sponsors Bank of the Islands and The Royal Shell Companies. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday, and start at 8 p.m. No performance Thursday, November 25, and Friday, December 3. Tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for child 16 and under.
