New Library Location in NW Elbert County; Library District Announces Grand Opening of Singing Hills Service Outlet Providing Service to Nearby Residents

Nov. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- NW Elbert County, Colo. The Elbert County Library District and the Elizabeth Fire Protection District will host the Grand Opening of the new Singing Hills Library Service Outlet at the Singing Hills Fire Station on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 9am. The new library site will provide residents of northwestern Elbert County with a small, popular reading collection and a convenient location to pick up and return materials placed on hold through the library's online catalog within the Singing Hills Fire Station.

The outlet also includes a computer with public Internet access and a drive up book drop, located outside of the fire station, for returns during the week. The Elizabeth branch library will staff the service outlet on Tuesday evenings, from 3 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday mornings, from 9 am to 11 am. The Singing Hills Library Service Outlet is one more step in the Elbert County Library District's plan to extend the availability of library services to the residents of Elbert County. Funds for the new service outlet were made possible by a grant of $10,456 under the Library Services and Technology Act.
