According to Bob Reuter, global vehicle chief engineer, the 2011 Cadillac SRC has the ability to deliver an excellent and well-balanced driving dynamics in all types of bad weather. He stated that the all-wheel-drive system with electronic limited slip effectively transfers torque not only from front to rear, but also along the rear axle. This system sets a new benchmark for all all-wheel-drive systems, giving the driver control and confidence on any road surface. Another great thing about this new vehicle is the rear eLSD. The purpose of eLSD is to give driver enhanced control when cornering hard or completing a high-speed maneuver.  The system can transfer up to 100 percent of torque to the wheel that has more grips either in icy or wet conditions.  

Making its first appearance at Crest Cadillac Dealership, the New SRX is available in two powerful engines: a 3.0-liter VVT E85 V9 with direct-injection, or a 2.8-liter Turbocharged V6. Both engines come equipped with a standard Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic. The 3.0 has 260 horsepower at 6950 rpm and 221 pound0feet of torque at 5600 rpm. The 2.8 Turbocharged delivers 300 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 295 pound-feet of torque at 1850 rpm. GM claims that the 3.0-liter 85 unit delivers 5 horsepower more than its predecessor while offering a 10 to 15 percent improvement in fuel economy.

The interior of the 2011 Cadillac SRX retains many of the features from previous models. The interior of the SRX offers high-quality materials with exceptional build quality. As for cargo space, the new Cadillac seats up to five. The seats are made comfortable, allowing plenty of head and leg room in back for passengers. Entertainment features on the base model include a Bose audio system, a CD player with an audio jack with satellite radio. Driver seat memory, heated leather seats, Bluetooth compatibility, a backup camera, an upgraded stereo, and a navigation system are all features included in higher trims and optional upgrade packages. To enhance the driver’s experience, the 2011 SRX offers a quiet and peaceful ride with a remarkable responsive steering wheel.

Buyers are given a choice of either front-wheel-drive or AWD offered by the New Cadillac SRX. The two entry-level trim levels come with 18-inch wheels and the top two trim levels feature 20-inch wheel. All trim levels feature real leather along with more advanced features such as keyless entry, a reverse camera and navigation with an LCD screen.
