Children learn new words whilst they play games

Nov. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Tiny Ocean is full of interactive pictures, simple activities, music and a microphone that allows parents and children to record their own words and sounds.

A collection of animated Flash Cards support the game. A tap on a picture lets parents and children record their own voice, which plays back both on the cards and within the game, stimulating word association and speaking skills.

Tiny Ocean is great for teaching multiple languages and currently supports English, Spanish and Greek.

Keep Me Smiling has been playing Tiny Ocean with her daughter "The bright kid-friendly graphics drew my girls to the app, and what they found most delightful was recording their own voices and playing it back. Some voice recorders are a little confusing, but this shows a large microphone, which starts automatically and plays back. It doesn't take much time for the kids to get it, and soon they are enthralled with the game of 'voice-over'."

Tiny Ocean is an iPhone application that costs £0.59 and is available via the App Store on the iPhone and iTunes. It has been featured by Apple in iTunes New & Noteworthy and What's Hot sections.
