DANA MARLOWE OF ACCESSIBILITY PARTNERS WINS STEVIE® AWARD IN 7TH ANNUAL STEVIE AWARDS FOR WOMEN IN BUSINESS

Silver Spring,  MD – November 15, 2010 – Dana Marlowe, of Accessibility Partners, won a Stevie Award for Best Executive in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business on November 12, 2010 in New York, NY.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business is an international competition recognizing the accomplishments of outstanding women executives, entrepreneurs, and the organizations they run.   The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business AwardsSM.

In winning the Stevie, Dana Marlowe beat out other finalists as this years’ Stevie Awards for Women in Business attracted more than 1,200 nominations overall.  Sharon Rosenblatt, the Marketing and Communications Executive accepted the award on behalf of Dana Marlowe. Sharon was presented the Stevie by Sara Eisen, a markets reporter for Bloomberg TV.  In accepting the Stevie, Sharon said, "By accepting this award, we hope to empower all people with disabilities”. Accessibility Partners provides consulting and testing services on behalf of technology for people with disabilities.

Stevie Awards were handed out in categories including Best Entrepreneur, Best Executive, Lifetime Achievement, and Women Helping Women at the gala event at New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel on November 12.  More than 1,200 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.

Accessibility Partners and Dana Marlowe were also finalists in three other categories. Accessibility Partners was nominated for Best New Company of the Year as well as Most Innovative Company. Dana Marlowe was a finalist in the Best Entrepreneur category as well.

Finalists in the competition were chosen by business professional worldwide during preliminary judging in September and October.   Final judging was conducted by members of the awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors in late October to select Stevie Award winners from among the Finalists.

Dana Marlowe was thrilled to be a finalist, let alone win a Stevie Award itself. When she received the news that she won, Dana was stunned. “I never thought we’d win in the presence of the other nominees, especially with a company as young as Accessibility Partners” she said. “However, it doesn’t make me want to stop now that I’ve been recognized. This award, if anything, motivates me to do more. The recognition is nice but it is ultimately a reminder of what else needs to be done”.
