Country Cottage Assisted Living Hosts Canned Food Drive

Nov. 15, 2010 - PRLog -- CORINTH – On Friday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m., Country Cottage assisted living will host an Open House to present a canned food donation to local charities to assist needy families this winter.   Everyone in the community is invited to join Country Cottage at the event. Refreshments will be served.

Over the past several weeks, Country Cottage has been hosting the Partnership in Caring food drive to help the needs of local families this winter.  The Cottage has been collecting canned food items to donate to local charities.  Food donations will continue to be accepted through Thursday, November 18th.

“With increasing utility costs, food prices, job shortages and the changing economy, we are afraid that a lot of elderly and disabled folks might need a little extra help this year.  Many people will make hard decisions about how to keep their homes warm, buy their medications and feed their families.  We want to help these people by supporting the community in every way possible,” said April Davis, Managing Director at the Cottage.  “I want to invite everyone to join us on the 19th in support of this wonderful cause!”
