By: Isha Foundation Over the years, ARR has conducted over 1500 health camps for diabetes screening in rural Tamil Nadu. In addition to providing free treatment for diabetic patients on a regular basis, ARR also conducts Yoga Marga residential camps for diabetic patients using alternate systems of treatment. Over 5000 people have benefited from these initiatives. People are also advised on maintaining healthy diets to prevent chronic ailments such as diabetes. ARR is a multi-dimensional program with a holistic approach towards improving the overall health and quality of life of the rural poor. ARR is not just about giving the rural people economic or administrative help, it seeks to transform the life of the rural poor. ARR has reached more than 4600 villages, serving a population of over 7 million people. Isha Foundation is a non-religious, public service organization founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev – a realized master and yogi, which addresses all aspects of human wellbeing. It is an entirely volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to cultivating human potential. Isha Outreach is the social development branch of the Isha Foundation.
