Dec. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- T-SATA SSD, one member of dual interface family- Cobra, offers wider choice of mobile storage solution for capacity expansion with stackable design of multiple SSD. It has real RAID function including RAID 0 and RAID 1 configuration. With RAID 1 function, the T-SATA will have mirroring function like standard RAID disk which can ensure the backup of your valuable data. T-SATA SSD not only supports SATA II and USB2.0 interface but also has Compact design with blazing speed  In keeping with the enhanced speed of the SSD drives the  Elite Series version offers up to 240MB/s  and 220 MB/s Read  sequential write  respectively.
Solid state drives (SSDs) are lighter, faster, require less power, than traditional disk drives and are being designed into many embedded solutions as well a portable systems. Capacity and speeds of SSDs state drives are going up and prices are coming down. Just a couple of years ago the SSD drives were both expensive and problematic. New technology has solved the problems that plagued them then. The T-SATAA 1TB SSD was implemented last year with T-SATA which consists of 4 units of 2.5” SATA SSD, with RAID 0 and RAID 1 support, in an external enclosure of 103.1mm (L) X 139.7mm (W) X 70mm (H) platform. A total of 4TB SSD can be achieved by using the M2100 1TB SSD with a T-SATA form factor.  Pretec offer SATA SSD drives with capacities up to 512GB with writing and reading speeds of up to 275MB and 285MB per second respectively, enough to deal with most applications. They extend endurance 80 times over other SSD and utilise special “write amplification algorithms” to provide best performance and lifetimes. Dropping traditional drives allows notebooks, etc to be lighter and thinner while adding battery endurance. As SSDs would lowers overall power consumption yielding some truly impressive battery life numbers. The SSDs are also pitched at embedded and non-PC devices and industries, including automotive, manufacturing and transport as well as OEM manufacturers. SSDs consume 80 percent less power per IO than traditional 3.5" drives providing a greener solution for the future, while offering significantly better performance. The Pretec SATA SSD P4000 supports Windows 7 TRIM command to enhance SSD performance The latest Pretec M2100 SATA II series SSD can achieve a capacity of 1TB with Read/Write speeds of up to 230/170 MB/s using MLC flash technology, in a 2.5” single board enclosure, this is the highest capacity SSD in the world in its class. These SSDs will become the storage media of the future with greater reliability, no moving parts and a MBTF of 2,000,000 hours.
SSDs are the way forward providing, lower power, longer life cycles and greater reliability. Combine all this with a cost improvement and you have a winning combination.
