Sweet Relief: Southern Candymakers Creates Wildlife Rescue Gift for Audubon Institute

Nov. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- --NEW ORLEANS—Southern Candymakers, an 18 year-old New Orleans confectionery business specializing in Southern pralines and other candies, has recently formed a partnership with the Audubon Institute whereby 10 percent of Southern Candymakers’ proceeds from the sale of the 2010/2011 Gulf Coast Wildlife Rescue Gift package will be donated to the Institute’s Louisiana Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Rescue Program.
   Perfect for holiday giving, the Wildlife Rescue Gift package is loaded with nearly two and a half pounds of Southern Candymakers favorites including Creamy Pralines, Assorted Tortues, Assorted Toffees, and Glazed Pecans. Three charming, hand-painted solid chocolate novelties – a Dolphin, a Sea Turtle and a Louisiana Pelican represent all of the Gulf of Mexico marine life in need of aid following the BP Oil Spill Disaster. The cost of the Wildlife Rescue Gift is $47.95.
Like all of the confections at Southern Candymakers, these candies are handmade in small batches with absolutely no preservatives, so quantities are very limited.
