New Mosque uses FlexiDry Fast Drying Floor Screed

Nov. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- FlexiDry fast drying floor screed was chosen by the project management team due to its guaranteed dry times meaning that costly installation of surface DPM’s is not necessary before laying final floor finishes.

The current mosque is located adjacent to the new building but is currently far too small to service the whole of the Muslim community presently residing in Harrow. The new building aims to provide a purpose-built mosque which will become a cultural centre for Muslims residing in Harrow and further afield.

Once completed, the new mosque will be able to house over 1,000 worshippers for prayer by using multi-functional halls within the new building.  However, the new mosque will not only be a place of prayer as the intention is that it will become an educational resource centre as well as a place of interest for Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

The new building will comprise of the following:

•   Mortuary
•   Library
•   Car park
•   Multi-functional halls (for educational and social purposes)
•   Commercial kitchen facilities
•   Retail units
•   IT suites
•   Health clinic
•   Facilities for the elderly and disabled

Following the completion of the external work on the building, it is not only aesthetically pleasing up close, but is also a landmark that can be seen from miles away.

Since its recent launch to the UK Market FlexiDry F0 has been used on a number of installations by FlexiDry Global’s approved contractors. It has proved equally popular with small builders, flooring companies, self builders etc. with sales of FlexiDry F0 being brisk via the company’s ecommerce website.

The 3 day drying floor screed has been installed in the last few weeks at two impressive London residencies (one belonging to a well known supermodel), a Waitrose car park, a London restaurant, a Morrisons Supermarket and will be used on a high profile redevelopment project in London starting mid November.
