Nov. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- BALI, INDONESIA & MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – Internationally known artist Joanna Cutri presented Beauty in Impermanence on November 4, 2010, at the Four Seasons Resort in Bali. Showcasing her rich and complex style, the well-attended event drew a crowd of enthusiasts, collectors and admirers. Best described as “subconscious tapestries,” Cutri’s pieces combine distinct mixed mediums and collage, resulting in layers upon layers of visual stimulation.

Beauty in Impermanence expresses ultimately feminine figures, phantom-like silhouettes, simultaneously emerging and receding into multiple layers of color, textures, patterns, words and a series of enigmatic numbers.

While Cutri is inspired by nature and her worldly travels, she also breaks aesthetic ground with the implication that beauty - while exquisite - remains ephemeral. Serenaded by musicians and enjoying hors d'oeuvres, art enthusiasts gathered around the gallery set in an open-air courtyard, and were treated to a memorable evening, basking in the generous hospitality of the Four Seasons. The exhibition, at the Ganesha Gallery in the Four Seasons Resort, will display the Collection until December 6, 2010.

Concurrently, pieces from The Joanna Cutri Collection will be displayed during True Self, a group exhibition at the Nexus Modern Art in Melbourne, Australia, from November 20 to December 2, 2010. For more information about Nexus, visit www.nexusmodernart.com.au.
