Benefit For A Lost Montrose Landmark,Antique Warehaus

Nov. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- A Halloween fire recently destroyed a well known, well-loved Houston landmark, The Antique Warehaus, formerly known as Trash & Treasure, and more recently TurningleafFurniture.com.

Unfortunately for the owner, Gordon Greenleaf and his wife, Tara Jordan-Greenleaf, the contents of the leased building were not insured. "We tried several times to get insurance, but they told us we had to own the property to get the contents insured", says Mr. Greenleaf.

So not only have they lost their entire inventory of old and unusual furniture and accessories, but their main source of income for the past 20yrs. While fire investigators and insurance company adjusters for the two building owners at  1714 and 1712 Westheimer look for clues to the cause of the fire,  the Greenleafs are looking at job offers and trying to figure out how to survive and pay their bills.

A group of civic minded friends and fans of Antique Warehaus have organized a benefit to help these people through the next few months until they can get on their feet.  P.J., the owner of P.J.'s Sports Bar is dedicating his establishment on the night of Sat, Nov 20th totally to fundraising for the Greenleafs and Antique Warehaus.
