Ed Bernstein to sponsor Team Challenge for Rock ‘n Roll Marathon and Half Marathon in Las Vegas

Nov. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS – Edward M. Bernstein & Associates will again sponsor Team Challenge in coordination with local television station KLAS, Channel 8 for the Zappos.com Rock ‘n Roll Marathon and Half Marathon being held in Las Vegas on Dec. 5 to benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).  
 
Team Challenge is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s endurance training and fundraising program.  As a sponsor of Team Challenge, Bernstein is publicizing the training program and encouraging participants to raise funds to support CCFA’s education, research and support services.  

“As a father of a daughter who has struggled with Crohn’s disease her entire life, I am proud to be a sponsor of Team Challenge to benefit research for a cure,” said Bernstein, whose daughter Dana was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 3.  “Dana has been in and out of the hospital nearly her whole life. And now, as a young adult, she and I are working together to raise awareness about the disease and to support research efforts.”

The entire half marathon course, as well as the first 12.6 miles of the marathon will be on the Strip, which will be closed to vehicular traffic in both directions during the event.

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America is the official charity sponsor of the Zappos.com Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon and Half Marathon.  It is also the largest nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding a cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, digestive diseases that affect 1.4 million Americans, including 150,000 children.
