Bowling for At-Risk Haitian Youth

Nov. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Papiyon, Inc, a non-profit organization in the greater Fort Lauderdale area, is hosting its first fundraising event for its programs for Haitian youth. The bowling night for Haitian youth aims to bring together those interested in making a difference in the lives of our youth, who are the leaders of tomorrow. Those interested in participating will enjoy a night of bowling, raffle tickets, prizes, and food and drinks, as well as meeting new people.

This event will be held on Saturday November 13th at AMF located at 1940 N University Dr.
Pembroke Pines, FL 33024. All those interested in helping the youth of Haiti are welcome and admission is $25 per person.

Founder and President, Berlina Baudin explains "We are thrilled to help youth of Haiti by focusing on the truth and the feeling is unexplainable.” As anyone launching a non-profit can imagine, fundraising can be difficult but is needed for the organization to achieve its objectives. “Even in the weakest economy, caring people do seem to find the money to help us in some way,” says Baudin. Papiyon, Inc is also seeking corporate and private partners to help raise the additional funds needed.

Papiyon, Inc was recently formed by Berlina Baudin, who was born and raised in Haiti, and is currently an undergraduate Psychology student at Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia through its online program. Focused on a plan to help the Haitian youth by enhancing culture, identity, strengthening spiritual values, teaching new skills, and restoring self esteem through various educational tools and training, Papiyon, Inc is building a network of support and providing assistance to the youth of Haiti. Throughout the year, Papiyon, Inc will be hosting a variety of fundraising events to raise the money needed to help fund the twelve week program that will incorporate academics, art, leadership skills, sports, and technology.
