Reminder – call for business award nominations

Nov. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Now in their fourth year, the awards (hosted by Cornwall College Business, supported by Cornwall & Devon Media, thisiscornwall.co.uk and Pirate FM) attract applications from companies large and small in Devon and Cornwall, recognising how staff training has made a difference to companies.  The deadline to complete your online application is midnight on Friday 19th November.

Winners from last year include Finisterre, Fit n’ Fun Kids, Flying Start, TRAC Services, Tulip Foods, Finisterre, Cornwall Farmers and Pall Newquay.  Shortlisted nominees receive an invitation to the awards, where the winners will be announced.

Any business in the region can enter, demonstrating how they have used staff training to improve their profitability, staff morale, retention, performance and to gain competitive advantage.  

Dave Linnell, Principal of Cornwall College, said: “We work with companies throughout the region developing training that works for them.  The awards ceremony is a wonderful celebration of the hard work put in by businesses and staff committed to learning.  I look forward to finding out the names of the lucky winners at the glittering ceremony in January.”

The Excellence in Business Training Awards are open to any business that has undertaken training within the last twelve months, and you can enter as many categories as you would like.

Commitment to Graduate Development
Achievement of Significant Business Impact
Training Programme of the Year
Excellence in Environmental Training
Individual Achievement
