Nov. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Telecom market research firm Technology Research Institute (TRI) has launched a new community website for Revenue Assurance professionals called the Revenue Assurance Roundtable located at http://raround.com.

According to Dan Baker, Research Director of TRI, the inspiration for the Roundtable was an actual roundtable discussion held last year with several North American RA executives in attendance. "The execs sat around a small conference room and shared their successes, frustrations, and war stories," says Baker. "While the discussions were serious, they were also lively and fun. And that’s the tone we’ll set for this Roundtable: frank, honest dialogs with experts who speak their minds, challenge assumptions, and dream big dreams."

Some of the features planned for the Roundtable site include:

* Interviews and articles featuring leading Revenue Assurance experts from both the carrier and vendor communities.
* Advice on how to manage and grow an RA practice as well as leverage the skills and tools of third party service and software firms.
* Sweeping coverage of the RA discipline. The site will cover traditional revenue assurance, billing quality, and cost management issues, but also delve deeply into subjects such as fraud management, margin assurance, and revenue optimization.
* To excel in RA implies a knowledge of the telecom business, services, networks, and B/OSS systems. Therefore, the site will “round out” reader understanding by covering the latest trends in product development, real-time billing / charging, analytics, network policy / control, and enterprise billing.
* The site will also feature a directory of global resources for the RA profession: educational resources, white papers, magazines, conferences, and on-line media.
* The knowledge will be organized for easy retrieval and use the international GRAPA Standards as its guide to categorization.
* Finally, a monthly email newsletter will point readers to the latest intelligence appearing on the site.

According to Baker, the Roundtable will rely on contributions from RA experts to expand its knowledgebase. In fact, he urges RA practitioners with something valuable to share to contact him directly.

While the site will be free of any advertising, TRI is looking for Roundtable sponsors who pay $1,990 a year. Financial sponsorship allows the client to gain access to additional research that will be rolled in an annual analyst report entitled, State of the Revenue Assurance & Billing Practice and Market .
