Nov. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- As part of their responsible tourism initiative, some products that Exotissimo develops gives the opportunity to travelers to improve the well being of communities, while also experiencing the natural and cultural heritage of South East Asia. To share this experience with its staff Exotissimo supports and develops community based tourism projects with local organizations as part of their efforts to give back.

Exotissimo believes that local society and economy must also benefit from the tourism, and whole heartedly encourages both staff and clients to partake in a sustainable tourism projects with the focus on either social, ecological or rehabilitation. In order to do so the staff of Exotissimo Thailand and Exotissimo Group embarked on a charity trip to the northern province of Phetchaboun.

The team from Exotissimo comprised of staff, both local and expats, who visited Baan Fong Tai School and a local temple to make donation. The team spent the day interacting with children, playing games and visiting lesser known tourist attractions which are often included in Exotissimo’s tours.

Thailand Operations Manager, Waleerat Jaruwatchareewong said, “The weekend was a great success which can be put down to the unity of the group and high spirits upheld over the weekend. Our visit to the school was a definite highlight, with warm welcomes and big smiles all around. Before we handed over our donation we were able to spend some time playing with the kids with some of the Exo staff even giving playful English lessons”.

She also mentioned that this trip gave the Exotissimo team a chance to interact with each other in a relaxed environment. It was also an opportunity for the team to come and help people in need, who are otherwise, not part of such gestures as the effects are felt more by communities nearer to urban areas.
