New York Food On Foot Tours To Hold Charity Food-On-Footathon November 6

Food Fans Meet in the Big Apple to Celebrate the Runners With Their Own Special Glutinous Marathon
 
Nov. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- One day before the runners run others will take part in a marathon of gastronomic gluttony for up to seven hours by subway and foot.  Visitors and locals will be experiencing New York City  in a totally unique way on Saturday November 6, 2010 as New York's  Food On Foot Tours hosts its first charity Food-On-Footathon. Food fans and foodie fanatics will traverse Manhattan for up to seven hours to benefit the Bowery Mission and City Harvest.  Food On Foot Tours, New York's highest rated food tour on TripAdvisor's Things To Do In New York City will donate 50% of the net proceeds from the event (up to $250) to benefit the charities. Participants will experience New York items such as deli, hot dogs and pizza and other surprises at hidden gems and well known restaurants and stands around town.  Fall special tour cost is $35 per person and the tour will last for about seven hours. Participants may stay for all or part of the tour. Food costs and Metrocard are not included.  Advanced reservations at  (631) 491-0326 are recommended but not necessary. Tour leaves Penn Station from the Amtrak Information Booth at 10:30am.
