A ton of Seafood served for Fort Lauderdale's International Boatshow

According to our sources at Bimini Boatyard - Fort Lauderdale's first Caribbean wood-fire grill, chef Michael Bennett prepared one ton of Seafood for this weekend's International Boatshow.
Nov. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Chef Michael has outlined the heavy hitters menu items for this past weekend, that included the biggest days in cover count ever for Bimini Boatyard Bar and Caribbean Grill. Almost 1000 people each day came in and had Chef Michael Bennett's unique twist on Caribbean-ized American seafood, as he footnotes it as “Caribb-ican” cuisine. He goes on to say that his culinary styling is New World Cuisine re-visited. It brings the exotic-ness of a Caribbean pantry into a modern culinary context, paired with the best locally recognized American and Caribbean seafood choices.

This past week South Florida and Fort Lauderdale hosted thousands of yachting enthusiasts. Within a toucher of a thousand people a day yachties and locals  discovered Bimini Boatyard during the four days of the International Boatshow. The International cuisine that chef Michael is devoted to was as much a draw as the Boatshow itself for this world-recognized event. Bimini's Sunday Halloween costume event had more than 600 people at their three bars. Even as it rained, the waterside terrace tent filled and was filled to overflowing with holiday revelers.

Chef Michael Bennett has highlighted a few of the MOST popular items from this weekend's menu sales:

Atlantic Mahi Mahi          210 pounds
Gulf of Mexico Grouper       150 pounds
Key West Stone Crabs      480 pounds
Key West Lobster         120 pounds
