Help Provide Food for Memphis Homeless at the Telisa Franklin Ministries: Feed the Need Thanksgiving

Nov. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Memphis, TN – AmeriChoice and ALDI have teamed up with Telisa Franklin Ministries to fight hunger this holiday season. In the past year, members of the Memphis Community have been hit with the recession and the need for this food drive has nearly doubled in numbers. In order to provide food, Telisa Franklin Ministries will be holding its annual Feed the Need Thanksgiving Food Drive on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the That’s Love Event Center located at 3804 Park Avenue.
“We are grateful to have corporate sponsors this year”, Telisa Franklin says, “but there is more work to be done”.
To help alleviate immediate food needs, Telisa Franklin Ministries is asking for the community to help by donating non-perishable items, gift cards to grocery stores or monetary donations in increments ranging from $5 to $100.  A kitchen will be set up at Gift of Life Church located at 1542 Jackson Avenue on Thanksgiving morning to serve the community.
