Fall Festival Raises Over $5,000 for Palm Beach School for Autism

More than 1,000 students, families and community members attended The Palm Beach School for Autism’s 2nd Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 30th at the A.G. Holley Complex. The School raised over $5,000 for educational programs.

Nov. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- More than 1,000 students, families and community members attended The Palm Beach School for Autism’s 2nd Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 30th at the A.G. Holley Complex.  Guests enjoyed a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting & air brush tattoos, and food by Hypoluxo-Lantana Kiwanis.  The Lantana Police Explorers helped to fingerprint children and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue brought a fire truck for everyone to explore.  Through sponsorships and game booth ticket sales, The Palm Beach School for Autism raised over $5,000 for educational programs.

The Palm Beach School for Autism, a charter school located in Lantana, Florida provides a developmentally appropriate intense behavior intervention program for children with autism and related disabilities.  It addresses the learning needs of its students through individual educational plans, a highly trained teaching staff and choice of curricula to suite the individual needs of the student.  Each student’s program is designed with their unique behavioral traits in mind to overcome their cognitive weaknesses and emphasize their strengths.  Behavioral modification is critical to reach academic success for the child with autism spectrum disorder.
