Sydney Symposium - Synergies: A New Consiousness for our Future

Nov. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- The Sydney Symposium ‘SYNERGIES - New Consciousness for our Future’ is an event where people from all walks of life can get together with professionals from the worlds of Art, Science, lateral and spiritual thinkers, to engage in discussion and to foster contacts; to stimulate a positive and creative thought process.

Presenters at the Symposium will include professionals from the areas of Art, Science and Spirituality. Keynote speakers include The Hon Bob Carr, former Premier of NSW;  Dr. Keith Suter, Federal Vice President UN Assoc. of Australia & International Authority on UN Disarmament and Peace Building; Prof Anita Taylor, Director National Art School Sydney; Prof Timothy Sharp, Founder of The Happiness Institute and Positive Psychology expert; Charlie Hogg, Director Brahma Kumaris Australia; and best-selling authors on how to meditate and create a positive consciousness including Paul Wilson, Graeme Cowan,  Gina Lazenby from London, Dr Roger Cole and Judi Pemell. Panel discussions will introduce a diversity of perspectives and encourage active participation. The Symposium will close with an audio-visual meditation, a dance performance by choreographer Paul Cordeiro and a concert with percussionist David Jones and Sam McNally, keyboards. There will also be an art exhibition in the foyer upstairs, and book signings by the authors participating in the Symposium. This special free event is being hosted by the City Fringe Meditation Space.
