Cannington promoted at Bowling Management Associates

Nov. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- (Bonita Springs)—Bowling Management Associates (BMA) of Southwest Florida is pleased to announce that Mike Cannington has been promoted to Director of Operations for the company. Cannington was hired in September 2009 as the company’s Director of Marketing, a title he will retain in his new dual-role.
“Mike has proven himself greatly in a very short time with our organization,” Said Lisa Ciniello, Vice President of Bowland Centers. “His skills set and experiences have added a whole new perspective on our business.”
The director of operations position came open when Bill Hanson, a 10 year veteran with Bowling Management Associates, entered into an agreement to purchase All-Star Lanes, one of the centers owned by BMA.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to continue to grow with one of the leading companies in our industry,” said Cannington. “Even as we struggle through difficult economic times, the Ciniello’s, and the entire Bowland team, have worked hard to make sure this company is on solid financial footing. Cannington has more than 19 years of marketing experience with hospitality and motorsports companies in South Florida. He also spent 13 years in the broadcast media world, serving as a reporter and sports anchor for 3 TV stations. Cannington has also been very involved in the charity and civic communities here in southwest Florida since 1983, having served on numerous boards over the years and conducting dozens of charitable fund raising events during this time.
