Solo Exhibition of recent paintings and drawings by Gary Dobry of his work with Henry Miller's last great love, Brenda Venus.
Oct. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Solo Exhibition by Gary Dobry of his work with Henry Miller's last great love, Brenda Venus. Dobry was an apprentice, and life-long friend of Ed Paschke. This body of work celebrates Dobry and Venus finding their own voices after Paschke and Miller and joining those voices to sing their praise to their mentors. Some of Miller's watercolors of Venus, from her private collection, and original Miller love letters to Venus, as published in 'Dear Dear Brenda', will also be exhibited with Dobry's work. The School of Hard Knocks is a fitness center and boxing club in Crystal Lake. Il.. It's president, and its' boxing club's head-trainer, Gary Dobry, is a former boxer who has three novels published, In Good Faith, Kingdom Come and En La Lona. Dobry's art has exhibited with Leon Golub, Andy Warhol and Ed Paschke.
