Brandon Gallery Announces Winners in Small Works Art Exhibition

SMALL WORKS EXHIBITION ANNOUNCED

Fallbrook, Calif., Oct. 28, 2010 – Tony Radcliffe, a Redlands, Calif., artist has won Brandon Gallery's Best of Show award in the annual Small Works Contest and Exhibition, the gallery announced today.
   According to Jill Jones, Brandon's curator and chair for the event, Radcliffe was one of 12 award winners who participated from Riverside and San Diego counties.  Others in the top tier overall include: r. mike nichols (sic), first place; Diane Adams, second place; and Noreen Ring, third place.  Honorable mentions in the overall excellence category went to Lorraine Dawson and Carol Perko.
   Jones also said that Richard Freund, 3D sculpture; Mark Disney, photography and digital arts; Lisa Mozzini-McDill, oils; Beth Taft, watercolor and gouache; Jill Jones, mixed media; and Ray Fedorchak, pastels received awards of merit in several media categories,
   Winners will receive their awards during a public reception at Brandon Gallery, Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, from 6-9PM.  The juror, noted regional arts leader and past  Riverside Art Museum director, Daniel Foster, will be on hand to discuss the judging process.
   More than 120 pieces of art representing 67 artists that made it into the final round of judging will be on display at Brandon Gallery from Nov. 3-28, 2010.
Fallbrook Brandon Gallery (www.fallbrookbrandongallery.org) 105 N Main St., one door off Alvarado in the Village of Fallbrook, is a non-profit artists’ co-operative with 29 members representing many major creative disciplines.   Each month member and guest artists from San Diego and Riverside counties display hundreds of pieces of art that include textiles and sculpture, jewelry and gourd art, oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors and pastels, greeting cards, printmaking, photography and digital media.  Brandon Gallery  is open from 10AM to 5PM Tuesday through Saturday and 11AM to 4PM on Sundays.
