Magnolia Restaurant in Barcelona Enjoys Great Success with New Executive Chef Gianni Punto G

Barcelona is filled to it's Gaudi designed rooftops with restaurants. Some very good, more than some just so-so. Magnolia Restaurant, in Barcelona's Gotico district, is now one of the former thanks to newly appointed Executive Chef, Gianni Punto G
 
Oct. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Just listen to how good this sounds: Savory tapas like Tripe Truffles on a base of Apple Compote or Aubergine Fried with Honey Mustard and Coriander.   Delicious starters like Mini Duck Cannelloni in Apricot Soup with Amaretto and Crunchy Leeks or Mille-feuille with Goat Cheese and Apple/Red Pepper Emusion on a Bed of Grilled Corn.  Mind-blowing Main Dishes like Sweet Cod in Cream of Cauliflower with Honey / Cherry Emulsion on a Bed of Trumpet Mushrooms or Veal Tournedo with Foie Gras Breaded in Pistachios, Sesame and Citrus Fruits.  Now imagine that it all tastes every bit as good as it sounds.  Well... It does.  

And I'm not even going to get into the new desserts except to say that I love desert menus that are so good its hard to choose that final and, for many, favorite dish of the evening.  The "Sweet & Creamy" -Ocumare Chocolate Crumbs with Toffee and White Chocolate Foam -was so incredible that any guilt I had upon ordering it disappeared at first bite.

Having just finished dinner at "The New Magnolia", I can tell you that the menu, designed and implemented to perfection by Executive Chef Gianni Punto G, is nothing short of remarkable.  And when you consider how well-priced it is, the new menu is a revelation -catapulting Magnolia Restaurant, http://www.magnoliabarcelona.com , to another level amongst dining experiences while maintaining its "everyday" price points.

With my marketing firm GardeniaGrowth, http://www.gardeniagrowth.com , moving into our new office above the restaurant on November 1st, I am only worried about two things: gaining 15 kilos by Christmas and being perpetually distracted by the aromas wafting up from Chef Gianni's kitchen.
