The most beautiful and most famous coin  in American History, The Saint Gaudens Double Eagle is a symbol of tangible wealth since its inception in 1907. Being a big coin with a long history, the $20 Saint Gaudens, is about  two cousins, First President Theodore Roosevelt and second President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt commissioned Augustus Saint Gaudens a well known artist to design this new US coin. Franklin D. Roosevelt signed legislation in 1933 that took the United States off of the Gold Standard and ordered all US gold coins to be recalled and melted (the exception being those with special collector value).

It measures approximately 34.0mm in diameter, and  weighs approximately 1.075 ounces of .9675 fine gold. The dates are of our choice (1907 to 1933).
