Beach Grass makes donation for Gulf Oil Disaster Relief

Summer fundraiser "Sand Dollars for Gulf Relief" netted $554, sponsored by Beach Grass in Kennebunport, Maine.

Oct. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- The big number was $554.24.  That's the final amount collected by Beach Grass gift shop of Kennebunkport, Maine in a fundraiser for the Gulf Oil Disaster.

Customers of Beach Grass "adopted" Florida Sand Dollars for a donation. The funds, sent to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, were earmarked for rehabilitation of birds and sealife affected by the gulf oil disaster.

The sand dollars were collected around June 7, 2010 in the Caxambas Pass, off the coast of Marco Island, FL.  

Beach Grass is located in Kennebunkport, Maine at 28 Dock Square, and supports The Ocean Project, Surfrider Foundation and World Ocean Day with fundraiser and events throughout the year.
