Oct. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Asbury Park, NJ (Oct. 15, 2010) – On Wednesday, November 3rd from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m., Atelier East Design Studio, located on 1221 Main Street in Asbury Park, NJ, will host An Evening of Goodwill and Green Design to benefit Coastal Habitat for Humanity. The $25 suggested admission will support Coastal Habitat for Humanity’s home build project, Operation Westside, in Asbury Park. Construction is now under way at 36 Borden Avenue on the first of four homes to be built off of Springwood Avenue.

The driving force behind Atelier East Design is Angela Shannon, a richly talented artist, whose passion for design has transformed countless spaces across the Jersey Shore. “Our showroom has been located on Main Street in Asbury Park for five years. Our business and clients are honored to support the important revitalization work of Coastal Habitat for Humanity. We look forward to this exciting evening and invite the community to join us and learn about sustainable design and how the kitchen can be transformed into a modern, living space that is both healthy for people and the planet,” said Angela Shannon, Owner & Designer, Atelier East Design Studio.

Guests will enjoy live jazz presented by Living Easy Quartet, Italian fare by Sicliana’s Italian Cuisine. and a wine tasting by Court Liquors and Mionetto Prosecco. Attendees will also be entered in a complimentary drawing for a weekend getaway to Plymouth, Vermont sponsored by HeadNorth, LLC. Artwork, inspired by nature, will also be available for purchase with 100% proceeds to benefit Coastal Habitat for Humanity.

At 7:30 p.m., Poggenpohl US will lead a 20 - minute presentation on Emerging Sustainable Alternatives Used in European Kitchen Design.  The company will review innovative green technologies and techniques for residential and commercial design.  Founded over 118 years ago as the first German kitchen brand, Poggenpohl is now available in more than 70 countries around the globe.  Atelier East Design is one of only two authorized Poggenpohl US dealers in New Jersey, a true honor selectively bestowed by the manufacturer.

Following Poggenpohl’s presentation, CaesarStone, the Original Quartz Surface and sponsor of the event will also be on site speaking about their newest Recycled Collection. This revolutionary new collection is made of recycled remnants from the fabrication process, something no other quartz surface has ever done. CaesarStone is providing one of a kind gift bags and will have samples and literature about their newest colors on hand at the event as well as representative to answer any questions you might have.
