Oct. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- For the event, the hotel garden was specially designed by the British scenographer, Simon Costin, who worked to show off the boldly modern, futuristic spirit that underlines the exclusive handbag collection. The scene was brought to life through a contemporary presentation animated by multiple colourful projections, showing elegantly morphing patterns taken from the handbags’ visionary kaleidoscope prints. Display units echoing the alluring jewel tones used for the bags, including emerald, sapphire and ruby, completed the garden setting.

The capsule collection will be the first collaboration between Bulgari and a fashion designer and has been presented during Milan Fashion week for Spring/Summer 2011.

Bulgari’s CEO Francesco Trapani commented: “We chose Matthew Williamson for the great sense of color and design he brings to his work which resonates with our brand’s rich history”.

The collection will hit Bulgari stores on January 2011.

About Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson won the Red Carpet Designer of the Year at the 2008 British Fashion Awards; previously having been awarded Elle Designer of the Year in 2004 and the 2005 Moet and Chandon Fashion Tribute Award. He has also been nominated 3 times for Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.
