Oct. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- A vendor of Tinley Park Chevrolet vehicles, Chevrolet of Homewood is showing its commitment to the local community. Chevy of Homewood’s General Manager, Guy Cesario, will join WJOL’s Friends Over Fifty radio show at noon on Friday, October 29. Hosts Ed Kerfin and Ross Novak will interview Cesario about the newest Chevy line-up and upcoming events.
Cesario is also making a visit to the studio in an effort to promote the Autobahn 5K race, being held Saturday, November 6th. The Autobahn 5k race will be held at the Joliet Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL, about twenty minutes from Frankfort. Chevrolet dealers like Chevrolet of Homewood, and members of the community like Cesario know the importance of helping local citizens and continuously making efforts to be involved in community events.
The Friends Over Fifty radio show airs every Friday from noon to two pm. The show discusses financial, health care and lifestyle issues - specifically for people over 50. Cesario will share smart shopping tips for the automobile industry to listeners in and around Tinley Park. Chevrolet, along with the entire automobile industry, is rapidly changing, especially in light of the new electric vehicle – the Chevy Volt – that consumers will find on lots late this year. With new technology comes lots of questions, and Cesario’s goal will be to educate listeners about both new and existing technology and vehicles currently on the market.
Additionally, Cesario will be promoting the Autobahn 5k race mentioned above. The 5k race is held on the challenging road courses at the Autobahn Country Club. The race is a benefit for local seniors, providing funding for Will County Senior Services and the local Meals on Wheels program in and around Frankfort. Chevrolet dealer Chevy of Homewood hopes local residents can take part. For non-runners/walkers, the coordinators of this event are also looking for volunteers. Listen to the radio show on Friday, October 29th or visit www.autobahn5kplus.com for more information.
