Oct. 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Twenty-four teams pitted their musical knowledge against each other at the sixth annual quiz night, in aid of the Peterborough Business Support Group of the NSPCC.
Jason and the Argonauts, a team of six from Perkins Engines emerged triumphant, notching up an impossible to match 206 points. Meanwhile, languishing at the bottom of the pile and walking away with the booby prize – a CD of Ken Dodd’s greatest hits – were Stamford X Tablers.
The real winner on the night, staged at Peterborough United’s Executive Suite was the charity which raised an impressive £1,500.
Contestants were quizzed on a host of rounds  from identifying introductions to matching the singer with their criminal misdemeanours.
“This is one of our most popular annual events,” said Peterborough Business support Group chairman Chris Collier. “It’s always a fun night - watching people racking their brains to recall lyrics, song titles and band names is entertaining in itself.”
All money raised by the support group is poured directly into NSPCC projects supporting vulnerable youngsters in the Greater Peterborough area.
