Overview:

Internet Marketing is an important piece and vital in today’s most successful business and community development organizations. The Internet has brought media to a global audience. The interactive nature of Internet marketing in terms of providing instant responses and eliciting responses are the unique qualities of the medium. Internet marketing is sometimes considered to be broad in scope because it not only refers to marketing on the Internet, but also includes marketing done via e-mail and wireless media. Management of digital customer data and electronic customer relationship management systems are also often grouped together under Internet marketing.

Internet Marketing Seminar key topics:

A.   Traditional Media – Radio, TV and Print: How cost per points (CPP) and Gross Rating Points (GRP) have changed with the introduction of the Internet and Social Media.
B.   Social Media and SEO-  How to put your small business or community development organizations brand or message in front of millions who use the Internet everyday. Most cases, it’s free.
C.   Blogging for Business: If you operate a small/large business or community development organization, learn how to build awareness about what you have to offer the general public and keep your current base of customers and supporters informed.
D.   Press Releases: Learn how to distribute your message to local and national media outlets and get high search engine rankings. (This will be demonstrated in real-time at the seminar.)

Teaching Approach:

The teaching approach provides a mix of lectures, discussions, and real-time working sessions. A Power Point presentation and exercise will guide participants in learning and understanding Web 2.0 Tools.  Group exercises and one-on-one consultations with participants will be scheduled. This 2-½ hour unique program is an introduction to smaller workshops that will be scheduled by the Business Technology Center at UROC.  Training for the seminar will be done by Internet Marketing Consultant Donny Allen™.

Internet Marketing Labs

As a follow up to this Internet Marketing Seminar, there will be a smaller workshop on Wednesday, November 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 12-noon at UROC covering SEO Marketing with the use of Press Releases. This workshop will feature the creation of a personal newsroom for press releases and social media bookmarking.  Seating is limited.
