Nov. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- San Diego, Ca – San Diego Boca FC battled on Tuesday night on a drizzly night to a 1-1 draw with CD Irapuato of the Mexican 1-A League staring Cuauhtémoc Blanco at San Diego’s Balboa Stadium in front of a crowd of 1,339 who showed up and put up with rain throughout the entire match.

The game was a fair back and fourth match as both sides had their chances. Steve Gonzales had a solid night in the nets for Boca FC and he kept CD Irapuato honest and off the board most of the night. San Diego Boca FC’s first goal was a nice cut back move by newly signed Danish Midfielder Christian Hansen who pulled the ball back from a defender about 5 yards from the top of the box and let a left footed blast soar into the upper left hand corner of the net as the keeper had no chance. Boca FC played the match well enough to win the game after a solid first half however Irapuato converted a goal in the last 10 minutes of the match to tie the game up on a free kick in which the ball ricocheted off the wall and squeezed through a few Boca FC defenders beating SD Boca keeper Gonzales .The game saw several yellow cards for both sides but was a overall solid fight by both teams.

Blanco had a solid game for CD Irapuato as he was subbed out in the 71' minute as he made several key distributions to his teammates and took several shots on the Boca goal.

San Diego Boca FC Reserves Head Coach Papo Santos commented, "We had a good game tonight as the guys put together a good performance against a good Mexican side. We put together many nice combination passes and had some very good opportunities to score. The goal by Hansen was a nice goal as we need to be able to shot from long range to keep our opponents honest. Overall, we were happy with the result although being on the winning end would have been better.”

Next match, San Diego Boca FC Reserves look to continue their winning ways in league action this coming Sunday October 24, 2010 when they battle Pumitas at 2:30 pm at Helix High Soccer Stadium.
