Oct. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Bloomfield, NJ –A fashion show is more than fashions.  They are similar to their counterparts of   old.  Often, these shows were theatrical, presented with narratives, and organized around a theme.  These shows enjoyed huge popularity through mid- century, sometimes attracting thousands of customers and gawkers.  In the 1970s and 1980s, American designers began to hold their own fashion shows in private spaces coupled with rock-n-roll music playing in the background for runway models to sway to and fro.

Today fashion shows have live entertainment, music, staging, lights, cameras, food  and  lots of  people, all the ingredients of a great party.  Some target men in their briefs, females in casual wear or the night club scene with attendees  to include investors in suits, petit fashonistas in mary  janes and strollers, downtown hipsters, a dog and one odd food writer.

But really folks, there's nothing like a fashion show  to make you feel that your wardrobe is all wrong.  Fashion snackers know that fashion shows are more than fashions.  They are entertainment, food, drink, music fun and networking.  A la mode means ready- to-wear, not vanilla on the side. There’s nothing like a fashion show to make you  feel old and plus gras in your old 2005 boostier.

But the crowd lining up at Amnesia NYC this November 3rd, will strut their stuff.  CTCDesigns,  in association with HTM Magazine, presents....Rock the Runway UGR Fashion Show & After Party.  Ms. Debbie’s reputation for eclectic innovation, you will be surprised to find the clothes so…pretty.  CTCDesigns' UGR -Club-esque designs in a palette of bright spring colors, like turquoise blue, white and  Pop Culture Line will rip the runway, inspiring an immediate desire to go on a diet or shopping spree.

These designers and celebrities are putting their own unique stamp on the industry today.  Appearances and performances by celebrities and artists to include:  Special runway appearance from Tracy DiMarco of  Style TV; Grammy award winner  producer/songwriter DJ Dirty Harry;  Hip Hop producer/keyboard player, Salaam Remi, known for his association with Nas and Amy Winehouse; Multi Grammy winner, Kerry "Krucial" Brothers,  Partner  with Alicia Keys’ company Krucial Keys; Special runway music performed by Jive Records’  Miguel Johntel singing his new hit song, “All I Want is You” & “Ooh Ah”; Jayden performing his hit song “This is Why I Love”.  Price  at the door:  $30 general admission, $50 VIP runway seating, and $300 gets six at a table.  http://ugr.eventbrite.com
