Island Living Real Estate to Post Bahamas Homes For Sale on Facebook

Island Living Real Estate creates Facebook fan page as another means of using social media to share information about their agency and property listings.

Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- NASSAU, BAHAMAS— Island Living Real Estate has created a Facebook fan page to connect with potential home buyers and sellers and share notable news about the Bahamas realty agency.

Facebook users are invited to “like” the page, which can be accessed via www.facebook.com/pages/Nassau-The-Bahamas/Island-Living-Real-Estate/121187804591751?v=wall&ref=ts.

“Social media outlets such as Facebook are one more way to connect with our clients, build relationships and to share useful information,” said Rachel Pinder, principle broker of Island Living Real Estate, an agency that specializes in Bahamas real estate for sale (http://www.islandlivingrealestate.com/).

Facebook enables businesses to engage customers where they are, rather than counting on customers to search for your company, according to Tony Bradley in a May 2010 article he wrote for PC World  (www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/196873/why_your_business_should_not_abandon_facebook.html). Establishing and maintaining a presence on Facebook means companies can interact with existing and potential clients on a more personal level. Facebook also helps companies foster a sense of community and loyalty.

Island Living’s Facebook page features copies of its Weekly Tribune advertisements, but it will offer more than listings of Bahamas homes for sale, Pinder said. Information that people in the market to purchase or sell Bahamas properties (http://www.islandlivingrealestate.com/blog/) might find helpful in their research also will be available. To name one example, one of the discussions posted on the page offers sellers five tips for getting their homes sold quickly.

“We want to be a resource for people,” Pinder said. “We also want to use the page to foster relationships. That’s one thing we like about the discussion option. We can post what we think is useful information, and our followers can let us know how we’re doing.”

Facebook is an ideal marketing and communication tool for several reasons. Because of its popularity, having a page provides opportunities to connect with a wide variety of users, she said. And because it’s worldwide, it gives users in any country the ability to find Island Living’s page.

“Lots of foreigners invest in Bahamas real estate,” Pinder said. “This is yet another tool we can use to present helpful information to them to assist in their investing decisions.”
