She chose to work with the Be the Match Foundation, a national bone marrow registry. Alyssa is raising awareness and teaching the importance of giving completely of one's self.
By: Mungenast Alton Toyota Scion Alyssa Hotze, a Junior Girl Scout from Hazelwood, MO chose Be the Match as her community service project, and has set a goal to register 100 people. "If you can help me, together we can help save lives... It costs $50 to do the DNA test so someone can go on the registry. If you make a contribution, it will help lower the amount people will have to pay...Mr. Mungenast will donate $1.00 for every hotdog I serve. So please come that day and have a hotdog with me." Join Alyssa at the Goodwill Grill at Alton Toyota Scion on Saturday. For every hot dog she serves, Mungenast Alton Toyota Scion will donate $1 to the bone marrow registry, and get Alyssa closer to her goal. These donations ensure that thousands of patients get a second chance at life. Alyssa has also organized a bone marrow registry drive for Saturday, November 13 at the Hazelwood Community Center from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Ask Alyssa all about it at the Goodwill Grill.
