Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- DigitalSoaps announced "there's nothing like a pepper to start your day," when the company added a Dr. Pepper-type shampoo to its product line.

"In no way can I downplay the epic-ness of this shampoo," said company owner Chrystal Doucette. "Requests for a Dr. Pepper scented bath product have been coming in for a long time now, but the scent has been impossible to obtain."

The mystery flavor eluded Doucette, she said, because the only Dr. Pepper-type scents currently on the market are the soda itself and fragrance oils made for candles.

"Finally, after a bit of resourcefulness, I have procured a rendition fit for the DigitalSoaps label," Doucette said.

DigitalSoaps is known for inventing game controller soaps celebrating the modern Wii, Xbox and PlayStation systems, alongside retro SEGA and Nintendo systems.

Shampoos and conditioners are bottled in unused, re-purposed soda bottles that match the scent.

Soaps are sold at www.digitalsoaps.etsy.com and www.digitalsoaps.net. They are also sold in several stores worldwide.

Mountain Dew-type and Pepsi-type shampoos - including caffeinated versions - are on virtual store shelves alongside the new Dr. Pepper clone.

"A conditioner will soon follow, and maybe even a lotion," Doucette said.

The soda theme continues with rootbeer-scented PlayStation soaps and 7-Up Pound Cake-scented  Gameboy Advance cartridge replica soaps, both in stock at the Etsy site.

"If you want something unique, like a rootbeer scented Xbox soap, you can go to DigitalSoaps.net and make a custom order," Doucette said.

The company noted it is not affiliated with the soda manufacturers. Rather, the scents offered at DigitalSoaps are imitation fragrance oils.
