Akadema and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Softball Agree to Two-Year Glove Contract

Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Hawthorne, NJ – October 18, 2010 – Akadema and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (Chattanooga) Softball team have recently come to terms on a two-year exclusive glove contract.  The new deal will have the Southern Conference regular season champions in Akadema through the 2012 season.  “We’re very excited to have Chattanooga on board.  Working with Coach Reed and his program are a great asset to Akadema,” said Akadema Sales Manager, Kevin Barrett.  Last season, Head Coach Frank Reed led Chattanooga to a 39-17 record and Southern Conference Coach of the Year Honors.  Their season ended last year in the SoCon Tournament.  Chattanooga’s fall schedule began on October 1st versus Lee University.  The Chattanooga Lady Mocs return 7 seniors to their roster as well as All-Conference 1st Team 3B Tiffany Baker & OF Lyndsey Stiles, All-Conference 2nd Team P Kandice Irwin and All-Conference Freshman Team IF/OF Kasey Tydingco.  In 2011, the Chattanooga Lady Mocs look to repeat as Conference Champions for the 13th time and regain their title as SoCon Tournament champions for the first time since 2009.
