This free eBook is a valuable tool for all knitters who are interested in learning how to make felted items. The six projects in this free eBook explore different felting techniques from the more complex wet felting process, to basic instructions on how to felt. Knitters can also learn how to make felt and use it for their own patterns.

“The first felted project I made was a pair of slippers. It was absolutely amazing to knit a Shaquille O’Neal-sized pair of slippers, throw them in a hot wash, and pull out a pair of Mom-sized slippers. They were beautiful, and my mom still wears them, even though I’ve had to patch them a couple of times,” says Kathleen Cubley, editor of KnittingDaily.com.

Felt Project #1
Knitted, Felt Slippers by Marcy Petrini

Felt expert Marcy Petrini teaches the ins and outs of knitting felted slippers. At first Petrini did not enjoy making felt, she thought it was too messy and too wet. Then she started to experiment by making felt in the washing machine. She tried all different shapes, yarn sizes, fibers, needle sizes and stitches and studied how they all reacted when put in the washing machine. She explains what she learned from trial and error about the felting process.
