Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Excellent news for bad credit computer gamers as big competition hits the market before Christmas.

Giant supermarket chain Asda has recently launched its very own strategic war against UK game retailers, with bad credit customers set to benefit.

High street specialist stores such as Game and HMV will be closely keeping an eye on their profit margins as the supermarket looks to muscle in on the £500 million market.

The new service will allow anyone to trade in unwanted games against other titles or for store credit.

“It’s exciting times for people who cannot afford to buy new games or who can’t buy a computer with bad credit” said a spokesperson for Bad Credit Loans 4 You, a UK specialist at sourcing bad credit computer loans http://www.bad-credit-loans-4-you.co.uk/bad-credit-computer-loans.html

“The added competition within the market will drive down costs even further and Asda’s 24 hour stores will make games more accessible.”

A new ‘Buy-Play-Trade’ card will be issued to shoppers so they can reduce the price of future game purchases, or any other item in-store, when they trade in used games.

Each of the 235 participating Asda stores will have an entertainment desk which is open from 8am to 10pm for traders, whilst you can purchase a pre-owned game at any checkout in the store.

Asda’s new deal for computer games lovers comes just in time for those looking to buy a computer with bad credit this Christmas http://www.bad-credit-loans-4-you.co.uk/buy-a-computer-wi...

Head of Games at Asda, Andrew Thompson, said; “We feel there is no better time to launch trade in and pre-owned games. With uncertain economic conditions and spending cuts dominating the headlines, customers need our help more than ever to lower the cost of living.

“In these economic conditions people haven’t got £40 to £50 in their pockets to buy games.”

“Games releases are coming thick and fast. Recently we’ve seen Fifa 11, Pro evolution Soccer 2011, Medal of Honour, Formula 1… There are some amazing games coming out but parents can’t afford to keep up,” said Mr Thompson.

“Our objective is clear – we want to deliver outstanding value for money for our customers on both new and pre-owned titles. We will also offer market leading trade-in promotions to coincide with new release launches.”

The supermarket recently offered FIFA 11 on Xbox 360 or PS3 for just 97p when Dead Rising 2, F1 2010 or Halo: Reach and the firm were traded in.

“The trade-in deal ran for three days and was a huge success which means we’ve now got a great selection of pre-owned games for customers to buy for XBox360, PS3, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.”

Mr Thompson continued by stating; “We’ve had an incredible performance with FIFA 11 and we’ve got a really good spread of titles – the full spectrum across all four formats. The range is going to be different in every store depending on what the customers are bringing in.”

You can search for your nearest trade in store at asda.com/storelocator using the ‘Buy-Play-Trade’ filter.

Bad credit computers pre-owned games will be on sale from £5 up to £30 for the newest game releases, giving bad credit customers the chance to stock up on classic games they may have missed, or try a new type of game without spending a fortune.

Those who wish to trade-in their old games must ensure they are in decent condition and with their original packaging, complete with instructions.

Games with ripped packaging or missing instruction cannot be accepted and only Xbox360, PS3, Nintendo DS or Nintendo Wii games in Asda’s games database can be accepted.

Any imported games or games for different territories cannot be used for their trade-in scheme.

Asda are also providing a service to help those whose game may be slightly scratched.
Their in store “disrepair” machines can remove superficial scratches and could restore the game to its original condition for a small fee of £1.
